Iowa white are very cold tolerant peaches. They produce a medium sized fruit, (larger than Siberian C) white flesh in color with a shade of pink. Fruit ripens in mid-late September in cold zones - much later than most peaches. They are mostly cold hardy down to zone 4 - dieback in trees due to extremely cold polar vortexes in zone 4 have been reported. A perfect, small tree for the backyard reaching 12-15ft. These are older variety, seedling grown peaches that grow true to seed without wide genetic variability like apple or pear seeds.
USDA hardiness zone 4, with exceptions, 5-9
